Hey all, My brother is giving me his '78 CB550k that he was working on and lost interest/time. He was never able to get it running right (poor idle and weak throttle). After reading much on this site I am thinking that I need to rejet/adjust the carbs. There is a MAC 4-1 exhaust and K&N pods (stock aribox is MIA). With the carbs untouched I am thinking its running lean with the extra air form the pods. I have searched and searched and seem to be unable to find specific info on what parts are needed. Does both the needle and Main jets need to be replaced? Is there a specific kit I can order or is this more of a trial and error thing? Please bear with me as I am new to this and thanks in advance.
