my bro got my parts primered today, i can't wait till the paint it put down

more progress today since we have a blizzard here...

here is the electric panel before cleanup and paint



and after back on the bike



front brake rotor all painted up pretty



this is what i did with the rusty forks



and here it is as of now



thank god my fork seals finally came in yesterday took almost 2 weeks to get them

now i am waiting for the paint on my body parts

stuff i need to order when money allow

drag bars

headlight brackets

seat cover

grips

taillight

and the list will most likely go on................................

rustoleum oil base in a can with a paint brush...this #$%* smooths out great even when brushed

this is the paint i am using but in gloss black

got my tach all painted up and mounted....i am going to run a dig bike speedo also

hoping my bro get the paint work done soon so i can get the wiring all done

It's looking great. I'm working on a very similar project but you're way ahead of me so I'm anxious to see how yours comes along. I'm really curious to see how the turn signals turn out and how you decide to mount them because that's one piece of my puzzle I haven't decided on yet.

I do have a thread but so far all I've been doing is the grunt work. I haven't gotten to the glamorous part yet. I'm basically getting the bike mechanically correct and finally starting to get some ideas for paint and such.

i sand blasted the frame for his yfz450 so ya i think i got the better end of the deal.....a brother helpin a brother idk if you seen my quad thread but he painted my frame and various parts on it also

got a little more done today before the work week starts

seat cover off.....will be ordering a new one soon



and a few pix of the exhaust pieces i cleaned up





i love tearing #$%* apart and making it look nice again....going to have to look for a new project when this one is done....i will be picking up a yamaha banshee this spring (for those who know what that is) and that will most likly be next winters project

anyway thats all for now

as for now i am thinkin just a simple honda decal on the tank.....but i don't know i like the checker stripe that some have down the top of the tank  :-\

i got some parts the other day from dennis kirk

signals for the rear....prolly pic up another set for the front, i like the smoked look and i tested them and they a really bright..



and i got a headlight visor i dont know if i will like it or not but hey cant hurt to try one



im hopin i get the other parts i need for christmas  ;D

Problem with parts for Chritmas is the list just keeps getting longer.  Santa's going to have to add a 2nd sleigh. ;) :)
