Got my "new" front forks today.
« on: March 06, 2006, 08:36:44 PM »
Ordered em off of ebay to replace the extended forks that are on my bike now. Is there a thread in the tech forum that tells how to re-build the forks?  Bryan is sending me the manuals for my bike on CD but I'm impatient... I want to tear into them. I need to work on the bike. The bug has bitten.

I will probably be selling the extended forks eventually if anyone is interested... but it will probably be a month or more down the road.

Oh and I learned you shouldn't make fun of someone that is whining about Karma and gets -6... or you will end up with -2 for being a smart ass.  ;D  ;D

My bike... I just got it 3 weeks ago

and the forks too

Looks like someone put 750 forks on your bike.

If you know what year they are, let me know. I might be interested in them if you decide you do not want them.

Nope not a chop head but those looked like 750 forks. If they are F forks, they are MINE! I might be interested anyways though :)

so how can I tell if they are 750 forks? Also would the PO have modified the triple tree or anything else to make them fit if they are 750s? They really arent as nice as they look in the pic. the shine is just a plastic cover that the PO rigged up. The actual tubes are pretty ratty.  ???
