1978 CB550.
Trying to help a buddy set the timing. I've never set timing before.
The Point gaps are set but while using both a timing light, or an multimeter it is always showing continuity, (always showing it has spark.)
The battery I pulled from a 650 and it tests just fine there, but when I put the battery on the 550 to set the timing I found (afterward) that the battery is shorting somewhere.
Any recommendations on how to go about tracking this problem down?
