If all goes right it will be mine by Noon tomorrow

I made the decision to get a newer bike and sell my Honda project. If anyone is interested you can click on my build thread. I am going to ask $900.00 as that is a few hundred less than break even for parts and such. My new to me acquisition will be a 1998 BMW K1200RS with 9400 miles on it.

Nice bike mate, those old K bikes last forever and go like stink! ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

Thanks, always had an affinity for Beemers, usually the older ones 50's-60's but I think I need a newer bike this time around. Working on the older ones like the cb's is alot of fun but sometimes you just gotta go fast without the wrenching. The wife says the projects got to go but since it is a project it may take awhile and perhaps I will get it together and she may want it. Hey I guy can dream right! Oh how I wish that guy hadn't scared her to death on his Kawasaki when she was in high school!

Great purchase! I have a '99 K1200rs and love it.
Mine is chipped with the Rhinewest. and has a Two Bros ti exhaust, goes plenty fast for a big bus and handles very well as well. Great for long, fast touring.
Enjoy!!

Oooh, that's a good point, i've got a "chipped" ignition box that I don't need, I don't think it'll work in your bike (it's for a K1100LT) I must stick it on EBay! ;D

Cool about the BMW, to get OUT THERE and cruise on, but maybe you CAN, with time, get your Wife PAST those old Memories from High School and be able to KEEP the Honda. It's Possible.  ;)

After I regained my breath and sense of gravity, all I can say is WOW,WOW & a Quadruple WOW. My bike is absolutely blistering fast. I am going to have to concentrate real good for awhile and practice alot! Besides my Hot Tub it has got to be the best $5400.00 incl. tx, Lic. & fees, I have ever spent. Riding position will need some work though as after 4 hours of tooling around Northern Utah my throttle wrist hurts a bit.
