Saturday is best if you can make it, it gets packed on Sunday and a lot of stuff gets sold on Saturday so you'll miss it on Sun.

I'll give it my best shot, I'm working up in N Wales at the mo, and money's a bit short but I do need to look around for a few bits & bobs for the bike.
Otherwise I'm a big (6'3") ugly looking bloke with glasses and a goatee and I'll keep an eye out for you at the front gate. Mob: 07708650791

It was really nice to meet someone from the forum (Sam & friends) face to face. Hope you enjoyed the show. I ended up going to that bloke you suggested, Sam, for the bits I was looking for. Jeepers, what a grumpy sod. Anyway he said no chance, no hope, no nothing.
Went in the hall much later and spoke to a guy that was busy polishing his immaculate K1/K2 he turned out to be really friendly and helpful and he said he had a few bits and bobs in a box and that as soon as he finished restoring his latest one he'd rummage around to see if he could find anything. Fingers crossed.
In the end I resisted buying all the trash I usually buy and left with my wallet still intact. Did buy a raffle ticket for the ACS tho'. Wonder who won that?
What did youse guys think of the prices for the bikes on sale there?? All the good ones were sky high (about 20% - 30% more than what I would gladly fork out for them). Everyone I spoke to had the same opinion.
Took me about 45 minutes to get out of the car park, but had a hilarious time watching these 2 guys trying to load some bike they'd obviously bought at the show into a hatchback. By the time I had got past them they'd stripped the bike in desperation and were trying to shoe-horn the frame in.

Hi Rob, it was nice to put a few faces to names. 8) Ben, Chaddy and myself also met up with Simon (simon#42) who you also met, he spotted my Orient Express baseball cap and as soon as he spoke I realised who he was, there was no mistaking that Scouse accent. ;D H2 Eric who I met years ago through sprinting met up with us also and told us of his delight on receiving his Mike Reick billet block. 8) 8) 8) Eric.
While wondering around, we bumped into Mick Puffet and his mate and just before we left, we met up with Colin (iomtt9) and his mate who race CB500s, they both bought new chassis for their bikes from Davies Motorsports, real nice gear weighing in at just 8kg. :o
Nice meeting you all guys. 8)
Rob, I only managed to spend a £1, must be an all time record for smallest spend. ;D ;D ;D

Saw your lovely TZ Simon but there was no-one around just after 10:30 to chinwag with. Had to leave before 12 too so didn't see any fellow SOHCers this time. Maybe next.....I'm quite inspired to bring some tackle along to the GP paddock myself sometime.

I went and didn't see anyone  ;) just me and the wife, had a great day out though. I did speak to John Davies for first time in years, he said they are getting custom made internals for the 500/4, certainly looks and sounds an exciting project if it all comes off.

Didn't realise you had a TZ there Simon, saw Ivor Dyche's TZ500 though, thought he only had TZ750.

Look forward to seeing the CR750 at Easter then Lordmoonpie.

that wasn't one of mine simon [ i suspect it was simon Bartlett's ] just as well there was no one around as it may have been a very confused conversation !

hi malc ivor has had that 500 in his living room for years , since gourley won the frc championship on it . when i rode his 750 i did ask if i could use it but alas there was a problem with the cases being porous , loverly bike the reverse cylinder 500 [ the only good production 500 race tz ] but god setting up the power valves was a pain !   did you see ivor at the show? .

dont think there are any bargains to be had at stafford any more , every year there seems to be more people selling clothes and less selling bike bits

Don't worry, he had nothing but praise for you.
