At one time I was looking for an old .22/.410 double gun for grouse, I would see lots of them critters while out road hun... er, 'scouting by vehical' during deer season when I lived in Washington. Don't know why I never got one.

The gun that is.
I shot plenty with .357 birdshot loads from my revolver, but you DO need to be up close or they sometimes jump up and fly away.

My lab (who would be sacked out on my sleeping bag all morning back at camp - imagine that) would get really pissed when that happened.
