I am fitting a 78 tank (5 gallon tank) on a 74 frame and it fits ok but to get the early K seat to fit I have to push the tank forward a little and change the seat hinges that attach to the seat. I am wondering if the K8 tank mounting rubbers are the same as early K tank mounting rubbers?

Anyone know? Or has anyone had success cutting down the front tank-mounting rubbers to move the tank forward a little?

thanks
Andy

Ok I answered my own question...I just had to look up the respective part numbers online - and they are the same...so it looks like Ill be shaving off some rubber to push the tank forward...
