Topic: Honda CB100 Question

Need some advice on my 72 Honda CB100.
I want to put a different style handlebar on it but the throttle is made for the original high bar. It has a groove that throttle sits in on the bar. What can i do to put a lower bar on it? Do i just need a new throttle? if so, which one would work? Or is there another way to go about this?

If I'm reading you correctly, all you need to do is find a dimpled set of bars that are the same diameter as the ones you already have. Shouldn't be much of a problem, but if you change bar height drastically you'll probably need different cables as well, just a heads up

Yes, you need a whole new throttle assembly.  You'll never find anything like the stock one.  Aftermarket is probably your best bet.  Being a thumper will make matching the carb end of the cable easier, and switching out will be more reliable than the stock setup.  Personally, I like the cleanliness of the stock setup.

i'm going to have the same issue when i start rebuilding a cb100 that is in pieces. i thought about finding the bars i like and then cutting out the rectangle for the throttle.
