handle bar levers
« on: October 17, 2010, 10:52:54 PM »
Hey I've got a 73 cb 750 and I was wondering if the clutch and gas lever come with the black rubber around the end of these levers or are they aftermarket?
thanks

Gas lever? Assume clutch and brakes levers = yes by my memory. I had a 72/73 model cb125 as my 1st bike. Had black knobs on the levers.

All my CB750's over the years had clear plastic tips on the levers.  I have had smaller cc bikes with black tips.  A new set is under 20 bucks whichever is correct.

Check the photo. This is reportedly a new out of crate K2...from an old topic on this site. Black ends on levers mate.

And those little black rubber tips are available as a replacement part.

I did not know that, but  never looked for them.  I have used the plastic/rubber dip sold to coat the handles of tools.  Tape off the lever and dip the tip.  Stuff is available at hardware stores and you have enough to do several pliers and your levers  :)
