Muffler recommendation for CB400F
« on: November 21, 2010, 07:13:53 PM »
Trying to kick start a stalled project.

The original muffler on my bike rusted out and I replaced it with a 'generic' cocktail shaker muffler I found on ebay.  However, whilst the new unit looks good, the bike is now way too loud for comfortable riding.

I've tried steel wool in the muffler but the way its made makes packing it very difficult and it has almost no effect unless you pack in so much that the bike barely runs.

So, can anyone recommend a muffler for a CB400F that actually does a reasonable job of muffling??
