Coffee break!!
« on: October 21, 2010, 06:53:23 PM »
I love coffee!!
My first job was in a coffee house, and I've gotten to try so many types.
My favorite is an Italian Roast produced locally. It like espresso in my coffee pot.

What's your favorite cup of brew?

While I do prefer good coffee, I'll drink just about any swill most days.

Having served in the U.S. Army, so would I.  "Looks like muddy water and tastes like turpentine" isn't just a cadence.  Hell, when they don't even make coffee, I've chewed on the coffee grounds in my MRE!

+1!

I do love and normally drink "good" coffee,  but my favorite cups of coffee have been cowboy style brewed over a burn barrel or open fire.  Boil water, dump in grounds, remove from flame, let sit and then pour. :)

My french press for a while was the absolute #$%* but it is waayy strong so the local roast out of my cuisinart with fresh ground beans is good enough for me these days.

The french press has become like fine china, I only drag it out for company.

I don't like the brew coffee at work (it changes brands from time to time) so I've used a french press every day for the last 5 or 6 years now.  there are some great local roasters here in Oregon, but I typically use Starbucks.  Please, don't hate.  My wife works for them and we get a FREE pound EVERY week... It's consistent and has good flavor in the press.  I'm not a snob though, I'll pretty much drink any brew before me.
But I need Tacos!  I need them or I will explode!

Hey I'm from Seattle! ANYTHING but that starbucks swill.

Flybox is going in the right direction: Seattle's Best has a great flavor. Too bad Starschmucks bought them up and shut down all the Best's coffee shops. Also still PO'd at Howard Schultz (Starbuck CEO) for selling the Seattle Supersonics to someone planning on moving them out of town.  :-*
