Burning oil like no other

Hey guys,

            It's me again. So i've recently fitted some 4 into 1's no baffles podded not rejetted yet carbs #90 stock jets, understanding that without the air box it is difficult to acquire the right fuel to air mixture. BUT i start up the bike and it runs alright for about 20 seconds then white oil smoke starts to fly out of there, a good deal of it too, and doesn't stop. Im guessing oil rings? head gasket? valve stems? anyone have some experience with this scenario?

are you sure it's oil smoke, which is a grey to blue colour, could be condensation when the motor warms up. how long since the motor ran ?

I cant really tell.
the pipes are old and rusty though.
the smokes looks more like white smoke than anything but still is killing me to sit there and watch so much of it come out of the exhaust haha. maybe some crap into there needs to burn off?

Unfortunately i had something similar.  I had smoke coming out the pipe and it only got worse.  Took off the pipe at the head and witnessed oil spewing from #2 exhaust.  Head gasket.

All good now tho.

Oil smoke will linger. Condensation will dissipate very quickly.

ahh yeah that sucks man, i was suspecting the gasket possibility. It's almost time to store this sucker and work on her. gotta love winter in New England.

Sure it's not just a worn out valve guide seal? They are rubber and after 30+ years it seems like a logical first place to look. I'm in the same boat as far as smoke but my compression is good and it doesn't miss or sputter. Smokes the worst at start up and idling and goes away while running at RPMs. So I'm assuming my HG is good, rubber seals are bad.

it'll run for about 2 minutes then start to smoke out my drive way hahah
