There's really no room to move the front sprocket around, as the chain just barely clears the cases as is.....the only option is to move the shock out....which means modifying the bracket on the swingarm and installing a longer stud on the frame, or maybe moving the rear sprocket in, which MIGHT throw your chain alignment off.

swinger is offset to the right right now...which aligns the chain/wheel.

I need to center the swing-arm, so that I can remove the same amount of material from the cush drive, and it will work out just fine!

I think Cyclex sells some offset front sprockets, 3/8inches or 9.53mm might get you where you need to be. Go a little over halfway down the page. Those will fit a 550.

Yeah, I am doing machine work, so I don't have a $70 wear item on my bike.

it all lines up pretty well, once I center the swing arm, and machine the cush drive, it will be prefect!

HAHA, nope, I may do hokey #$%* to the car, but the bike has to be right... it's my life on the line there.

I can't wait to get this thing done!

I should just buy a lathe....that would be so much cheaper than an offset sprocket

they just came right out. they are actually bolts just have a flat side to keep them from rotating!

cool, may have to trim those studs down the same amount as your milling before all is said and done....who knows.

After talking to a bunch of guys about my cafe project @ Car club meet this weekend....I was motivated again, I spent some extra time in the shop today and got my cush drive machined down.

programmed the mill to do 2 arcs which completed the circle, took off 0.050" at a time, and voila, one cush drive milled down 0.250"

Got her back together, spacers are perfect, brake caliper lines up, need to weld some shock mounts on, a brake stay on the bottom of the swingarm

sprocket fits now!

perfectly centered!

even the brake works out right!

and today she rolled on her new wheels for the first time!!!

ok, trying to figure out how I want to do the tail light, i have a cateye light, because it kinda matches the curve of the seat
I can make it nice and tucked under the seat like so:

but standing up, i can BARELY see the light, even from 4 or 5 feet behind, i am a little worried about cars being able to see

I also mounted it a bit further out, the sides stick out a little, but I might even mod the seat a little to make it sit a tad higher into the seat, maybe mold it in...not sure at this point...

have new SV650 switches and levers on the way, and am going to have to run rearsets, as I have no way of actuating teh rear brake :/

I like it. The only thing that sticks out to me is the rear shocks. The angle looks funny. Like it needs to come forward a few.
