Hello all, I picked up a 78 cb750 with no brakes, bad cables and sketchy tires.  I forgot to take pics before I tore into it, but I will share just as soon as I get my cables in the mail and put her back toghether.  Good thing winters coming, because the cold weather should help me fix her up before the spring.  A $700 bike isn't a great deal if you don't have the self control to go through it before you take up to speed. ;D

Looking forward to the process.

Greetings!

$700, you just think $700! Just wait. One thing leads to another  ;)

All the help you'll need here and plenty of us local"ish" too.
As of today 3/13/2012 my original owner 75 CB750F has made it through 3 wives, er EX-wives. Free at last.  ;-)

That reminds me of a test drive I took on a 750 this past summer. "It's real fast and I've gone through the whole thing! Oh, but the brakes don't work. Here's the keys!" Not the best test drive ever. :-\

Anyway, welcome. Ands it's nice to see more mile highers.

That was exactly the test drive.  Hard to untrain yourself that the front brake doesn't work on a test drive.
