I don't know if someone else posted this up or not but I just found it
on the Duc site and thought it may be of interest on here too.
We do a lot of building without money round here too!

I saw the Britten several years ago at a small local track near Dorset. They had two bikes there prior to the Isle of Mann just giving them a little run and trying to raise money. I had just come back from a vacation in the States and asked if they would accept dollars. "Dollars, Yen, Francs, Pounds, whatever you got mate, if it's cash we'll take it!" Bought a T shirt to do my small bit. Was saddened to hear of Britten's early demise, what a guy!

Hello,

"One Man's Dream: The Britten Bike Story" is now available to buy on DVD at: www.brittendvd.co.nz

It's a much longer and more complete documentary than the one available at NZONScreen (we made that one as well).

Regards,

Ben Ruffell

+1 on Ben's post, one man's dream is an excellent film. The footage of Andrew Stroud lofting the front alongside Pascal Picotte's factory ducati in the Daytona infield gives me goosebumps every single time - awesome. Incidentally for bike related films you should all also check out "Love Speed and Loss" about another talented Kiwi, Kim Newcombe. Very thought provoking film.

I'm lucky enough to have met a lot of the team in the IOM and had a few beers with Shaun Harris. He even signed my Britten leathers in my avatar! The world lost a true genius when John passed.
