Now HERE is a helmet for you!

If you have the means, these Les Ateliers Ruby lids are supposedly the most comfortable helmets made.  Carbon fiber and "sumptuous napa lambskin leather lining" give this helmet that "great" '70s look with the performance of the 21st century.  Oh, btw - when I asked the stealer what the price was he said:  "about $700."
I guess people buy these things, but all I have to say is: meh.
It took 10 years but she's finally done!

I have tried one on. Well I tried it on twice.
It's obviously a luxury item since there are plenty of helmets that meet the safety standards. But they are beautiful.
I suppose it's akin to what a fighter pilot might wear in terms of comfort and feel.
The problem, of course, is that you'd likely see them at a local cafe stop with some guy wearing his new Langlitz horsehide jacket (mone is 25 years old) aboard new Carpy bought bike. This is sort of the problem with the cafe racer build show that might make rubs with money feed into what the next caché look and style is.
This project started in confusion and will end in disarray.
