progressive springs for a 76 550f?
« on: March 15, 2006, 12:01:16 PM »
anyone know what the progressive part number is for front springs for a 76 550f?
also, anyone tried putting springs from a 750 into forks for a 550 to get a bit stiffer ride up front?

thanks!

Ive never tried different springs, but using different weights of fork oil alone makes a big difference.  I think I have 10W in my 75 550...pretty stiff.

Progressive spring kit CB550 is 11-1106. I have a set for a 550 I'm building but it isn't to that point yet. I do however have a set of progressive springs in my 750 and with ATF and six pounds of air it is as good as its ever been.

I have front progressive springs and rear shock/springs on my 76' 550F.  You can check Progressives site for part numbers.  I have the HD springs in the rear but will probably switch to standard as its abit stiff.  World of improvement from stock bits.  I have honda fork oil up from, I think its 10 or 15 weight.
