Bobby, here's the jacket I bought and I love it! I'm a big guy (6' 3", 300lbs. & 38" sleeves) that has a hard time finding anything that fits. This came with all the padding and is adjustable many way's for the right fit. Seems to be very good quality too. The link isn't where I bought mine though, (I bought locally) but is given just as an example. I would definitely check out their stuff if I was you, you may find something you like.  ;) :)

I like this "Butt-freezer" jacket, it's similar to my Triumph mesh jacket in style, but for cooler weather, I'd want more of a touring style jacket, with excellent water proof qualities like this one. Modern materials aside, not much has improved since the old Army Bush Jacket design of the 1960's Bobby! ;D

Thanks for the info guys I have to get serious about this. I am only 5' 8" so if I wear something too long I look stumpy. I will bechecking online store and even bike shops.

I personally like Aussies, they are like Texans with a different accent. I worked with some RAAF people and they were top notch with balls that clanged.

Now you can get back to "breaking each others shoes" which in a Bronx Americanism you will not hear in Iowa.  ;D

5'4" Dave? My dick's longer than that! ;D Hey, I had a HG Monaro with HK Bathurst running gear (327/Muncie Rock crusher box and 10 bolt diff) and it was the biggest heap of shiite that god ever shovelled guts into. I broke a rear axle and couldn't buy one anywhere, so swapped it for an XY GS Futura with phase III HO engine (4V 351, C6 box and 2.75 9 inch diff) and the Ford was brilliant, 140 MPH @ 3000 RPM, and it didn't boil it's arse off like the Monaro did. Geez, I wish I had them both now, I could sell them and retire! ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

2.75 mate, not good for a quick takeoff, but great for fuel economy, on a good day I'd get 8 or 9 miles per gallon! :o

I ran 4:11 in my Mustang, I tried 4:46 but it was way too extreme for the street.

I think if anything is to be made mandatory it should be rider/ driver training. Start with people who get a license to drive a car.

stupitity and ignorance cost your lives,,,speed cameras cost your dollars.terry i had a 2.78 in the hq 308 auto and still pulled a timed 14.5 1/4 ,not too shabby for a more or less stock heavy car,gt351 manual of the same era was 15...the HO was a different thing.i get about 18 litres per hundred kays,if i dont use the secondries.

We have mandatory motorcycle rider training here in Victoria and I'm sure that it's of some benefit, but it's not the be-all and end-all. A combination of training, experience, common sense and luck is what keeps most motorcycle riders alive. I've never had any formal training and I've never been accused of having too much common sense, so luck and experience (not to mention good protective clothing) has carried me thru.

Dave, my old XY was no slouch off the line in relative terms, but that was then, and this is now, and my new E-Gas work ute would at least stick with it, and probably beat it over the quarter, and would do it for a quarter of the XY's fuel mileage. Oh well, I'd still rather the XY! ;D
