My Cafe is finally on the road!!!
« on: March 11, 2006, 05:35:23 PM »
Got to make a quick run on my Cafe this evening......even though it was only about a 3 mile ride Im still grinning ear to ear. Finally got all the wiring bugs out.......Thanks TwoTired, Jonesy, and all the others for the tips!

It was nice out today and I was dying to ride it but the wife took her mother shopping and left our 8yr old son here with me. Just so happens she didnt get back until 10 minutes after it started raining  :'(  It finally stopped raining and the roads dried out enough for me to take a quick spin over to my parents house to get some air in the tires before dark. On the way home I would have loved to just kept riding but with it dark and the fog rolling in I figured it would be best to wait until tomorrow and do the shake down ride in the daylight.

The bike is running pretty good although it has a little popping out of the exhaust. I figure a valve adjustment will probally solve that.

I still have to get the cover made for my seat.....but I aint waiting on that to ride it. I'll tuff it out on the fiberglass base until then.  ;D

Yep.....got it off of ebay from hotwing.

Very well made. Had to cut about 3-4" off of the front to fit the 750. Im using the outside battery box bolt holes and the tool tray bolt holes to mount it. Cut some spacers out of Delrin round stock at work to support it underneath.

Here's alittle tip from back in my hardtail days. Take some dr.schools gel pad shoe inserts, cut them to fit your back pockets.
It actually make s noticeable difference on hard riding/hardtail bikes....
