Went and looked at the fairing in Nanaimo today. He lowered the price to $100.00 so I bought it.

From another angle.

Looks to be something like this one I found online.   Wow, very old school.

Getting things put back together.
Picked up the gunky sprocket cover today and started cleaning out the years of chain grease.
The underside seems to have a wax paper like covering on it. There are some small rip holes in this.
Does anyone know what this paper seal is for and if I will be OK bolting it back on as is?

Thats a different bike PDX, Derek's bike doesn't have the 16 inch front wheel, that model {16 inch front} didn't handle very well and had a very nervous front end, not something you want on a bike that fast..... ;)

Still puttering around with this bike some more. I want it ready for the Spring.

Went to put battery box back in today and found a "some what melted ground wire in the harness.Took me a while to cut it out and sort it. ::)
Engine and frame paint went well I think.

Now if I could just remember where that 1 1/2" diameter x 2" spring goes?

I have been searching around on-line for some new shocks and not having much luck under $300.00.

Is that really necessary?  I was hunting for something stock looking for a reasonable cost, I want it to get collectors plates for the bike when done.

Anyone have a good link?
