CB750 Quick turn throttle?
« on: September 13, 2011, 08:17:56 am »
Does anyone know of a quick turn throttle available for a CB750. I'm running Kiehin CR31's on my CB750K3 race bike, and am currently using the OEM throttle assy, pipe, and cables. I would really like a quicker turning throttle. Motion Pro does make some type of universal kit for about $160, but it includes a multitude of parts that are not required for the bike. I'd like to find a kit that is made specifically for my bike.
                                                       Thanks, Dave #590

Do you want to continue to use the stock switch gear? if so I have a Futura brand that plugs into the stock switch gear. from a prior thread, seems these are still available in Europe. I may have an extra for sale.

I've heard that a 900/929RR pipethrottle fits in with minor filing for clearance.

I see its on your racebike, so no switches? Seems Magura and Tomaselli have 2 cable quickthrottles for that price or less. Pretty much a slide on.

Turns out its a FireBlade, which is the Euro equivalent of a ... maybe it is the 900/929?

I've got a single cable Tommasselli 1/4 turn throttle if it'll help you.

Lots to choose from on www.discovolantemoto.co.uk but sadly they no longer seem to have the beautiful billet throttles from Japan that I have on my CR750 :-)

Mind you can still get the equally beautiful Bito push pull throttle from www.phildentonengineering.com - another japanese artwork. Look under the Honda classic race and performance section.

I use the Venhill quick action push-pull throttle. Not silly money and work well - I am very pleased with them!
