From my point of view, always thought the AMA was very, very little interested in everything outside the USA. How was that with magazines 'back in the day'? Was there any info about racing abroad and endurance racing in particular? Know that the 'spirit' of endurance racing comes from France, but how was that in the USA?

Most used a welded oem cylinderblock. When done right, no problems with oil leaks. Occasionally one saw a JPX blocks but rarely on true racers.
Have asked the chairman of the French Japauto club for explanation.
