Exhaust for 550
« on: November 03, 2010, 12:19:13 AM »
Hi,

I'm looking for some sort of exhaust for my 75 CB550, anyone got something they don't need anymore, or can point me in the right direction?
I don't mind if its looking a bit crappy, just need it to get by for the meantime.

I'd really like one of those yoshimura replica's, but looks like it might be a bit difficult getting it over here.
The Mac pipes look not too bad, I emailed MC performance about it and they quoted $750.... I could get it cheaper for the states, so they can keep it....

One way or another i am getting one of those Yoshi's....
Have you tried Tranzac in Brisbane, they make pipes for almost anything...? Their website is not very informative but their phone number is there...

If You can't fix it with a hammer, You've got an electrical problem.

I'm very keen to get one of those yoshi exhausts too, do you reckon it would be alright to have one on a normal use bike? or would it be way too loud?

A set of headers would be good to have too, then I could just make up something, like 4 into 2 and have dual hotdogs or something..

I had a similar Yoshi on my 900m Bol Dor and it was a little louder {sounded great} and improved the way the bike revved, i see no reason what so ever for not using one on a stock engine, you may have to re jet...

In that case I'll persist to get one of those replicas, for the meantime I'll have to find something to get by.

I bought the bike as basically a rolling frame with an engine, missing lots of parts, so an exhaust is on the list of bits to find.
