Who can ID these wheels?

These wheels make me a bit excited.  They look enough like comstars to fit right in on my CB550 build, but different enough to be worth considering:


Any ideas or pointers?

They are Astralites......I think they are made in the UK....

 I have already been offered pretty good money for them by a member on here.. so he would have first dibs. Also very good money if I built the adaptors for Laverda, by another person..
 
 They were on a Kawi, but the primary pattern appears to be Honda 750/Yamaha. They are 18 x 3.5 rear and 2.5 x 19/ front, and yes they are light...

 shoulda been at the Tsawassen swap in 09, they almost sold for a good price..

Another kind of similar wheel is the RC Components Star:


Might be easier to find, but maybe not in appropriate sizes.

I've only seen them on an NS400R, and only in 17R/16F sizes, and no word on what they're called.

Did Honda have a name for these wheels?  Did they make them in other sizes?  Are they any good?

I'm fairly sure they were on the VF1000R as well......not too sure of the sizes though...

Too bad.  :(

Anyone have any advice on where/how to locate a set of these in the 18x3.5/19x2.5 sizes?  I'm lusting after these wheels more and more these days.

 I believe they were far more common in Europe.. And they were used in endurance racing.

 I know they were often put on Laverdas , not sure of the bolt pattern. The ones I got were on about an 85ish GPZ. I have been advised that if you find a set check for loose rivets, altho I really cant imagine them working loose with that many holding.

 Any modular wheel like this can usually be widened with very little effort.

They are not still being made.  Last batch was in '92.  Hesketh bought out most/all of the stock when Astralites went out of production, then they dumped everything they had when the V1000 stopped production.  So you guys got a bit of a glut of those wheels at that point.
