Topic: Valve lash recommendations on RC327 cam?

What is the spec on valve lash for the RC327 camshaft???

 Actually its .012 int, and .014 exhaust.. ..cold..

 try checking them cold, just to see what they are at..

Not according to specs in catalog. .012 in & ex. ;)Bill. Came from blue catalog with V8 on back cover.

 I was looking at the one with the triple on the cover.. I have the other one at my shop.. either way .012 should work. I would check to see where the vaives  are at  now..

Yes Sam, a mind is a terrible thing to waste- lol. I haven't been on the bike in a while and want to do some maintenance before i take it out again- i haven't adjusted the valves in a long time. I've been neglecting it badly. Funny, it used to be my "go to" bike whenever i would go bracket racing. Now it sits in the back of the shop under the cover collecting dust. 

One  other question on the cam; what is the spec on the  lobe center setting??? I may as well re-check myself with the manufacturers data versus my seat of the pants meter .

Lobe center 104,all opening and closing taken with valve .050 off seat.duration 325,lift .368,intake opens 31 BTDC,closes 56 ABDC.Ex opens 56 BBDC,closes 31 ATDC.Good Luck,You going to Valdosta?,Bill

Not going to make Valdosta this time. I'm hoping Sam will have his beast ready for the first SEMDRA race in 2011. I may have to drag my bike down there so he can have some compnay- lol

Thanks for the help on the specs gentlemen. Will do my off season maintenance so i can play with the old Honda some next season.
