which is it?

ok my vin and engine numbers start with 232. the vin plate says 11/73.
now according to this it is a k4

thanks the only thing is now when i order parts will there be an issue ordering all parts for a 74?

Everything was pretty much the same on the '73 to '76 K's.  I just bought a '73 fuel tank for my '74.  If you go to the online oem parts suppliers, you'll find that the part numbers are almost always the same (if not always) for those years.

Not only does your VIN correspond with the K4 model, but so does the build date of 11/73, so there should be no question that it's 100% K4.

Well, I don't know how else to convince you. ???

I have a K4 that I've owned for many years and the VIN tag has a 10/73 mfg date.

My frame number is: CB750-23216XX and my engine number is: CB750E-23253XX

This is my original parts manual dated January 1974 and note the serial number page from inside that manual.
