K carbs on F2
« on: November 07, 2010, 10:57:33 AM »
I have a beautiful rack of cleaned, adjusted, and polished 77 K carbs from an old project that I would like to use on a 77 F2 engine. I notice they are different part numbers from Honda. What are the differences and can I run them on an F2 engine without problems? I would like to use the F boots too, but I have K boots if needed. Thanks, Steve.

They should run fine. So long as the hoses (both ends) match up, almost all of the 750 carbs will interchange. The airbox hoses: check yours to make sure the flange side fits the carbs you will use in the end. The early (K1-K6) airboxes had smaller hoses, won't fit the later ones.

They'll run.  Tune them to your engine and you'll be alright.
