cb750 newbie motor rebuild
« on: November 30, 2010, 10:43:59 PM »
Hey guys,

I'm a first time poster so i hope i picked the appropriate place for this topic.

Im rebuilding a sohc cb750 motor right now and its been fun so far. engine looks good and is looking even better as the new parts go in. i am about to order the rest of the parts i will need. the cam tensioner is no problem, but i was wondering if anyone know where i can find a hardware kit that is packaged and ready to go.

Looks like my only option right now is to go through the little exploded view diagrams and order each nut and bolt one at time. that is time consuming and i really dont want to do that, mostly for the fear i might miss something and i am a little aggravated with how long it has taken me to come even this far....

im honestly not exactly sure what year the motor is but i was wondering if anyone might have some ideas about a hardware kit. also if there is information about decoding the numbers stamped on the engine to figure out what year it is that would be great as well.

thanks for any help guys!

Go to http://www.sohc4.net/ and click on CB750 link at top. Provides a lot of info and will help identify year of motor.
