So I p/u the package, and started to get things organized.  I will be laying out the back plates for drilling this week, and finish them next weekend.  The plan is to ship the early 750 ones 1st, then the 550's, then the 750 PD ones.  So I will contact all those who have a deposit to finalize shipping cost & payment.

Out of the box.  All the filters are wrapped, and include an instruction sheet.  They even got their own ITG Megaflow P/N. ;D

Oiling Instructions

Cleaning Instructions

I mentioned in an earlier post that things were delayed because of a Renault F1 order, check out the packing tape below the bolts. ;) :)

It also seems like Terry has finally rec'd his jet drills, and is ready to do a little testing with the K1.  I will be sending him one of the 'production' 750 filters; however this will not change any results he gets now.

Will I have to re-jet with this?

You should probably read the whole thread.....
The answer to your question is yes, more detail in the thread. One thing, generally if you improve airflow you will have to rejet....If you improve exhaust gas flow you should rejet..... ;)

Awesome about the customs clearing (I laughed when you were happy they cleared customs, I was like: "are the pods made of cocaine or something?!" If so, they will increase my power until I needs a bigger dose  ;) ) Anyways, I am still on the fence. I personally love the way they look, would go for yellow boots, but await further tests. Patiently mind you. I'm not rushing or complaining, I completely understand all the hindrances.

For what its worth, if for some reason the time comes to order and receive the product before any real tests are performed then I will buy a set. I've already been told idle and wot are not too much a change which means I can deal with what ever jetting, needling, and praying to multiple god issues arise. I recently picked up another bike (Harley) so I'm not in too much a rush. (Please no flaming for the HD e.e)

I look forward to the Tin-Pod system. (Hey, I wanted to name it too. TinTop=tinpod)

Sign me up for yellow boots please =D

Our greatest glory is not in never falling, but in getting up every time we do.

I think you should name them "Escape Pods", since they give you freedom from using traditional pod filters.

They're more than just filters tho, they're custom velocity stacks....improved performance of the carburator independant of the filter design...

FWIW, I'm not a shill for Race Tech - I've just got a thing for good suspension and the RTCE's are the most cost-effective mod for these old damping rod front ends.

Well I had a "false start" last weekend with wiring issues (as yet unresolved, but I think I've worked it out now) and flat gas, but I'm chomping at the bit to get home from work today, it's a nice sunny Friday afternoon, so I'm gonna fit my headlight, dump the old fuel outta the bowls and fit a set of 140 mains and (hopefully) go for a ride first up tomorrow morning to test Brians "Dynamic Flow Filter" system, woohoo!  ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

Yep, looks good, but I'm not sure if I like the idea of using a set screw to secure the alloy "connectors" (not stacks, so performance will be questionable) to the carbs, and there's no mention of what filter (if any) is used? Another option though, which is always a good thing. Cheers, Terry.  ;D

No worries Brian, it's a pity there are about a squillion other "Megaflow" brand products out there, from toilets to hotwater systems (I just did a quick google search) so you won't be able to use the name outside of this forum, but "Megaflow" does sound good, for sure.

Yesterday I got my blinkers blinking and gave up on my headlight for the time being. I'd drilled some jets to 140 the previous evening and once I'd replaced my defective petcock, I fired it up. It's running way too rich, ragged idle and black smoke, but I did take it for a ride anyway. It was horrible around town and stalled a couple of time when the plugs fouled at the lights. Out on the open road it was better, and revved quite freely to and beyond redline, but today I'll drill another set to 130 and see how it goes. Hopefully, the 130's will be very close to spot on. Cheers, Terry. ;D
