Would you like payment today for the remaining balance plus shipping?  If so let me know and I'll go to Pay Pal and do it.

Not asking for it today, just a heads up.  Also the sooner I have ship to info, the sooner I came prepare lables. ;) :)

TT, sent the rest of my payment just now plus the extra for the 4 day shipping.

Thanks, will look out for it.

OK so here's the update.  Plates are ready, the stacks for the 550, & early 750's are done, and the 750 PD stacks should be ready to ship in the next couple of days.  So it looks like about a week / 10 days, and I will be able to start shipping.

Regarding shippping - lower 48 & Canada > 6 /10 days @ $15,  4 days @ $25.  International looks to be about $35.

These are the orders for which I have deposits.  If I have missed you, PM me.  I will need a ship to address, along with the balance (including shipping) shortly.

550 - ffj / kong / SF / cafe elite / tt ;)
750 (early) - Ndstrylgrnrngr / wannabridin (red) / brah pitt / odiewan (red) / tt ;)
750 PD's - brandEn / Terry / Voxonda

These are orders for which I can not find a deposit (?) shinneh (550 yellow), SOHC digger (750 PD red).  There is a waiting list so let me no if you are still interested.  Thanks.

PM sent in regards to which carbs i have.  i'm using PD's instead of regular's on my '76 750K.

Shipping Update

The 550 & early 750 stacks are ready, and will ship to me tomorrow.  I expect to be able to send out all the orders for these versions later next week.  The 750 PD stacks are scheduled to ship to me after the weekend, so those orders should be ready to ship about 10 days after that.

I'm coming in late on this thread, i went back to like page 15.
My questions are what is the waiting time for one of these kits and price? older CB750 style carbs.

These look sharp from what Ive seen in pics, I am in the process of trying to sync my carbs with  >:( PODS >:( just for the time being, was going to run stacks but don't like the idea of no filter..

Thanks

Most of the info is in the 1st post, except shipping, which is $15Cdn to USA.  I have x1 kit available for the early 750, and x1 750 PD kit, both with black stacks.

Wondering if it would be possible to make a kit to fit the early CB650 carbs(79-80)?  If so I would definitely be interested.

FYI, 79 650 carb specs seem to be as follows, I'm pretty sure this is close to the early 750 carbs(minus the inlet size and actual depth of the carb).
Type of carb                  - Mechanical linkage
depth (front to back)       -99.8mm
OD (motor side)              -35.4mm
OD (airbox side)              -45.8mm
#1&2 and 3&4 (c to c)     -76mm
between2&3  (c to c)      -80.9mm

The carb spacing works, as it is the same as the 550 & 750's.  So a basic filter & back plate should fit.  I would need to know the distance from the carb inlet to the frame rail.  Also the length of the stock stack (minus the mounting part).  The OD # for the inlet mounting ring seems to big, compared to the outlet spigot.  Would have expected closer to 39/40. ???

I'll have to double check it this weekend and let you know, those were just specs I grabbed off another thread on here actually(somewhere in my searching).

Well I just arrived back from Tasmania wheere I've been doing some Army Reserve work for the last 17 days, and am excited that it's gonna be a really nice warm day today, so even though my head gasket is leaking on my K1 (not bad, considering that I've thrashed it mercilessly since I built the engine 4 or 5 years ago and it's seen 11000+ RPM regularly) I'm gonna get it out there for a ride today.

My last ride was great, and Brian's "Ram Charger", in combination with the re-jetted OEM carbs has really made a positive improvement to the bike's performance after all the problems I'd had with the new 29mm CR's I bought for it, which were just so disappointing. I'm gonna have to re-build the 836cc engine over winter, I was gonna gut it for the 1060cc "Cobra" build, but I had so much fun on this bike last time out I've decided to rebuild it as a full race engine (APE crank, H/D rods, undercut gears etc) and the 1060cc engine will go in another bike. Cheers, Terry. ;D

I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

Thanks for the update Terry, glad to hear things are working out OK.  Your 750 PD stacks should be shipping to me this weekend.  The 550 & early 750 stacks will be in Customs Monday, so I should have them mid week, and be ready to start shipping right away.

The answer is a yes, and no.  Yes, to making stacks for any application.  However, the up front cost to make a model, then a mold, means that one off's become somewhat expensive.  Right now the two factors deciding what / where, are carb spacing, and carb inlet throat OD.

I was just thinking because Mike Rieck is doing a group buy for the RS mikuni's and there are now a few guys here using them as well, a nice set of rubber stacks would allow the use of your "antipod" or even an modded airbox. Brains always ticking over so no harm in asking...... ;D ;)

Interesting thought.  Which size RS?  As long as the stock carb spacing is being maintained, it is worth hearing some.

I hope you keep making these when the initial orders slow down. I bet some folks are saving up or in a situation like me, a little ways away from choosing carburetors and not able to order until they do.

Everyone that has bought one of these better get a picture up, it should be required!

I do plan on continuing to make them available B.O.X.N.I.F.E.  I have 550 ones available, and if there are any immediate 750 requirements still, I now have both any early & PD set available with black stacks.  The 550 and early 750 stacks have cleared customs, so I expect to ship those orders very shortly.
