Topic: Saddlebag guys: help!

I just recieved my new, used saddlebags.  I went to try them on and now I'm confused.  The blinkers seem to be exactly where the bags should go.  If I adjust to below the lights, they ride low & hit the exhaust.  Behind is too far back and in front is too far forward.  There's a big diamond-shape cut-out on each side of the yoke; do the lighs go through these?  I was hoping for an easy 'toss-on, yank-off' fit, and mounting with the lights through the holes will be messy, particularily when they're loaded.  And it doesn't seem to matter what size the bags are here - it's a dead-on conflict.  How do you guys have your bags mounted?

i'm a farm boy (notice i did not say ranch boy) from kansas and i still don't know what a yoke is. 

but, saddle bags are saddlebags... especially when they are new/used.  get them on... figure out the best way (sometimes won't figure that out until many rides after the first install) then, use that install and remove process from there on out.

I figured this would be the answer.  Anyone have any pics of successful installs?  What about those thin bars to keep them from being introduced to the spokes - Yes? No?
