Topic: Removing Starter Motor Safety Unit

I'm doing a 73 cb750 cafe and don't need or want some of the features like the clutch switch, neutral switch, etc. that are covered by the starter motor safety unit. I could track these individual bits down but thought removing the smsu might be simpler.

I found this thread, which seems to suggest it is relatively straightforward:

but then the discussion gets into some confusion about which of the actual wires from/to the smsu need to be jumped.

I still want electric start so I'm wondering if someone could just confirm the feasibility of removing the smsu.

I'd quote you the page number if I had one of my books handy, but... 

Find the Dark-Green/Red wire that went into the red connector that plugged into the safety module, pull it out of that connector and change the end to a male bullet, and plug it into the extra Green wire that is hanging near the rear of the battery box. Presto, it becomes a K0-K2! Just don't forget to pull in the clutch or find neutral before starting, or you'll make the DOT mad...
