custom replacement gauge face (CB550 Tach)
« on: January 13, 2008, 02:41:43 PM »
Hi. Does anyone have a vector based file of a basic CB550 tach gauge face? Such as Adobe Illustrator.

What I want is something that has the tick marks and perhaps numbers on it, or one done with layers so I could start from almost scratch. Anyone willing to share their work???   ;D

I've got one that matches the faces on my 72 500.  Are they the same size?  I've simplified the file to the point where I can create a custom face in less than 10 minutes.

hey, thanks for the offers. I am not sure of the size, I haven't measured it but I think they are the same size on the 500 and the 550. I have sent each of you my email, if you have some time I would love to see what you have.

Could one of you guys send me some files for Gauge faces?  I need the tach and the speedometer for both a 76 550f and a 72 500.  Thanks in advance.

I'm in the same boat! If you are sending files, I'd be grateful for a copy too.

Thanks

Guys, send me your email addresses in a PM and I will send what I have.

My work on the custom gauge face stopped when I dropped my tach and broke it while attempting to rig up a bracket.  I found a replacement tach off Ebay, but it is for a Kawasaki I think and is smaller diameter and different tick marks. It fits the bike, and the cable, so I'm going to just use it as is.

Happy to send along what I have though.

I ran across this old post and would love to get the file for these.  Has anyone else used them and posted pic's ?

I know this thread is old but thought I would try.  Can you send me the EPS file as well?  The white one looks sick.  Thanks.

Just an FYI;
I recently finished up some art for the CB 550 gauges
