Any of you guys have any luck getting your gauges printed? I am having a hard time finding someone to do it that doesnt need vector images.

Domer, what kind of stock and printer is your friend using?  Is it going to be self-adhesive?

its 3 mil floor guard avb with a luster lam.... its basically the same stuff used to wrap cars and buses, also for those ads you see stuck to the floor at malls and such.

Personally I would go with the girls... Unless someone else copies your idea you will be the ONLY one out there with that type of speedo and tach.

Ok, those are way cool!

But I think you should rework the girls so they are facing each other on the speedo and the tach!

i tried just about everyway possible... the problem is the cramped space on the speedo, not much room to work with unless i cover the trip odo. the one way i found might work is back to back, but im gonna print em and screw with it untill im happy ;D

thanks for the compliments all!

That would work great too!!!!!!!!!

The Blonde on the speedo and the brunette on the tach.

I'd buy that combo!!!!!!!

You think I could get you to email me the design for the tach/speedo with th two different girls? I think I can get them printed up pretty cheap. Just need the images.

all righty, so i finally got the lot printed and i f'd it all up. a decent amount of background noise that wasnt visible on my screen or test prints showed up on the final print :'( so ill keep everyone posted here, hopefully i have it worked out pretty soon.... wont be able to print for a week or 2 though...

once i get it squared away, ill shoot you the .pdf!

ill come up with a price once i get it all finalized, im thinking $15 a set. oh and i just got a template set up for 750 gauges, so ill be doing the larger 750 and the smaller 350-550.

I'm definitely down for a set, both tach and speedo, for a 350F.

Whatever girl you end up going with, I'm not picky! One of each would be cool, but like I said, not picky... Whatever you end up doing.

They're looking great!

I like the pin up decal mock ups Domer...I have no intensions on taking your design.....

Anti-Johnny sent me a note a few days ago asking a few questions regarding making overlays.  He mentioned that some people on sohc4.net are trying to get specific types etc.

I have been making overlays for about a year and a half.  Have sold them from as low as $9.99 all the way up to $30.00.  I have 12 or so listings on eBay currently.

These can be a pain in the behind to make.  I have spent hours trying to get them right.  Even cutting them correctly is difficult...definately not something you want to try with an exacto blade.   Laser cutting is exact and professional looking.  They can probably be printed on a home computer, but the quality wouldnt be as good.....not sure how they would hold up to sun, damp weather, etc.

At this point, I can make alot of designs, background color, graphic, etc.  I make 3 cb550 types and 9 or so cb750 types.

If anyone is interested in some decals, let me know.  I will be sure to give a sohc4.net discount, just be sure to mention you are a member.  A semi-custom set usually takes about a week until they are in the mail....of course it would depend on how difficult the design, etc.

Wow.... Um, well first off what I am doing is in no way professional. This is just what I'm doing for myself. But these are being professional printed using a large format u.v solvent printer, on street guard a.b.v. Then topped with a 3 mil luster lamination. Since the roll is 58" wide, I figured I'd offer up some since I have a #$%* load of extra space. Laser cut would be cool, and I'm sure would make things prettier, but I'm fairly handy with a exacto, and the tests I've done so far have been fine. Results may vary. a spray bottle of water and 2 drops mild dish soap per pint makes positioning a snap. Other than the lack of laser cutting I'm failing to see the issue here? Are you printing on/with something superior?
