I'm all for making a profit, but it's simply greed that demands increasing profits every year, kinda irritates me, the thought process that if you don't make as much profit this year as you did last year, even tho your still making a profit, your losing money? or the company's losing the profit potential of my productivity if I take a day off, so I should feel like I'm a poor company supporter and not really doing my part, if I take the two weeks of vacation I worked for and earned thru the work I did last year? or I should be exceedingly grateful that they allow me the opportunity? or I should be pissed because the company makes me take a paid holiday, thereby doubly cutting into the profit (paying me AND robbing the company of my productivity), rather than allowing me to work if I don't "believe" in a holiday? when a company focuses on making a profit rather than making a quality product, no one's gonna buy the product and it ain't gonna be around too much longer... if the company is more concerned with providing dividends for it's investors rather than keeping workers around, there eventually won't be any workers producing a product to sell...no product, no company.....
on the "humorous" side of it, saw on the news today HD is opening a plant in India, we're gonna make parts and ship them there for manufacture cuz lotsa Indians want Harleys and import duties make them astronomically expensive there, and unaffordable for the mass population. Isn't that kinda what China's doing for us? oh wait..China makes parts to ship to MEXICO for manufacture, THEN for sale here...so HD can make them affordable in India where the average wage is how much lower than ours? wonder how much it would cost to buy an Indian Harley (that's just a funny name) and have it shipped to the states? but of course there would be monstrous duties on it, being an import and all, even tho all the parts are made in America by Americans..and Harley U.S. would be right up front fighting the import of Indian Harleys...
