caliper detail

What is your favorite- most successfull method of detailing 750 calipers? Polish looks good but is a lot of work, paint will melt it fluid gets on it, powder coat?  Bike is a 76 Supersport with triple disc so originality is not as important as appearance.
No matter how many times you paint over a shadow, it's still there.

I plan to powder coat mine (as well as several other small parts) after I get my powder coating gun from eastwood this Christmas.  I just picked up a free toaster oven this afternoon for baking the powder. ;D

Powdercoating is a perfect option, but VHT got a perfect caliper spray paint too. Use it and it wont be affected by DOT4 I use.
Better sorry for failing then for the lack of trying.

On the finned caliper, I like to polish up the fins, and the flat spot on outer edge of caliper..

Same here.  I also have chromed inner caliper halves, I paint the depressions black with caliper paint.  I like the contrast.
