I bought this bike a year ago,it has around 19,000mi,been working on it on and off.Noticed a rumble in the crankcase not sure what it is .I have been restoring cars for over 10 years. So I'm pretty good around tools and such.Just recently got the bike running rebuilt the cabs set the timing dead nuts bike idles great starts on first turn.Thing is it still has the rumble from the lower half of the case.Read plenty posts that points to the clutch basket problem but funny when i squeeze the handle for the clutch the noise some what quiets down.not all the way but enough.I haven't synchronized via manometer, but bench synch. with micrometer. Now i am aware of worst case scenario the primary chain,or the primary gears rubber dampers. Now i can do the work but not sure i want to shell the change for the job.I guess my question is if the dampers,or chain(being stretched)is the problem will this effect the bike from lasting a few rides possibly a few years with these issues.Any ideas are greatly appreciated. Thanks
