I know you already started in a direction but . . .Why not go with the complete 650 motor?  Overall cost would probably be less.  You would likely need to deal with charging system issues and get used to the idea of not having a kickstarter. 

It would be simpler, and cheaper, but it's not what I want to do. My decision making process is likely irrational, but I'll stick to the 550 motor. Where's the fun in easy? I'm probably a glutton for pain, or something.
