What would you ask your bikes previous owner?
« on: November 24, 2010, 09:30:53 AM »
My question would be, "How did you shatter a choke slide?" and my followup is "are the other pieces IN the engine now?"

Cany you explain to me , HOW that 900cc big-bore Honda shrunk down to 836cc when I opened it up. And who honed it with what.. them 3pc rings went away soon after I bought it..

Another, when I asked you to wipe down the top engine case up to  at least the seam, it might of been better if you had gone lower.. at least, I wont have to deal with the mating surfaces, well maybe one. And on the maybe it had  water in it, it definitely had water in it, but did not ruin everything.

Oh and that frame that wasnt a 69, so you torched it off above the motor mounts.. well it not a later frame, it WAS an early one..

Why didn't anyone of the last 3 owners title it, why would you ride it with no plate, no license, after getting a dui, while getting stopped for another dui? Not really mine but I know the owner.

So I don't own the bike yet but I do have a 76 750K coming to me in the future. It has 40k miles, crash bars, king/queen seat and did sport a fairing at some point.

I'd like to ask them if they took any big trips on the bike and where they went.

My 350f only had 6k miles when my dad got it. I'm resonably sure it's never been out of the state (yet).

My questions would be pretty much along these lines, and what kind of riding style was he all about whn he was riding it, touring, drag racing, street riding, lots of highway?

And if he had any pictures of the bike from before he 'customized' it...

Questions I would ask of the POs PO. LAst PO of the 500 never got it on the road.
How did you shift with a broken clutch lifter rod?
Why is the orange permatex in the float bowls and and jets?
Why isn't the muffler completely on?
Have you noticed that 3 float bowls overflow.
Where is the airbox?
Did you notice the clutch cable is not made for this bike?
Why are the wires not connected to other wires of the same color?

Why did you decide to run pod filters?

We spent 5 minutes with the engine cranking off of a battery charger before it would even fire. After that it would stall if you gave it any gas.
