No...I just unpacked it. I used to use a friends bench. This is nice as the Flowcom does all the conversions and velocity probe etc plugs right into the unit. Easy.

Ah Ha!!  I knew you were up to something!!  Just so happens I have TWO unused MR heads that need recalibrating! One needs to be installed really soon too. I just had my UPS acct opened too...........

You probably realize this but that little tool will only be used to VERIFY the excellent work you've already done.

Hey Mike,
A head flow testing device?
Is that like how quickly does it go in one ear and out the other? ;D
Congrats! It'll be cool to see how this influences your porting.
Sam has a good point though. If this is what you get for Thanksgiving, what the heck are you going to get for Xmas?(Besides Chimay!)

It's 220 volts TG. I have to get my electrician in to wire an outlet. Problem is I have only 1 empty breaker space on a 200amp service breaker box. ::)

Oh man, you are in deep trouble then, I think we should move it to italy, 220V is stock here. Can run the tests for you if you want :)

volts is voltage though... how many amps or watts? The industrial vaccum cleaner motor i have is 2000W, 10amps @ 220V

Your timming couldn't be better (or perhaps my timing) as I've got another 550 head that needs a little love.

Happy Thanksgiving.

For a guy who does as much of this work as you Mike, this machine must be just what the doctor ordered.

When I think of the requests for varying stages of porting work for all the different engines out there, how & when do you use it? Probably to make the ports equal on a given head. I can only imagine the work/testing involved determining the best shape, adding or removing material.

It would make sense to specialize, those on here think you already do, but I've seen more than just SOHC4 heads in your shop. I have both a 500 and a 750 head with broken fins that are basically scrap if they can help with further development. Not that this stuff is anything new for you.

Good luck with it Mike.
