I agree. Any motorsport is dangerous and accidents do and will happen. But this type of accident after the race is over is a severe lack of judgement and attention on someones part. These are suppose to be professional racers. This should of never happened.

Finish the race get off the track.   Period.   There were not one but two riders I believe at Laguna Seca one year who incredibly decided to come to a near stop ON THE TRACK just after crossing the finish line.  I say incredibly because, wtf were they thinking, they finished the race near the front of the pack and HAD to know there were laggards/back markers coming up behind them.   I've seen the crash video of a rider at full clip slamming into the nearly stopped other rider.

Finish the race get off the track.   DONT STOP or dramatically slow down on the track at LEAST not close to the finish line!  Sheesh its like taping a sign up on your back that says HIT ME HARD AND FAST.

I feel sorry for the guy and his family --- only a few seconds of poor judgment then it's over.  Very sad.

One year at the Louisville flat track a spectator ran across the track to streak in the pond in the middle of the track. He was hit by a rider and both died. Right on the front straight very sad.
