I changed it

The point was, if you can reach 0 psi at about 50mph in the intake (which sounds about right), the bike won't do over 40

Speaking of learning things, enjoy this article.

By the Pitot-static tube theory, at 50 mph you'd be looking at a boost of just under 0.05 psi, or .003 bars - well under 1%.

Well under a 1% increase in pressure vs. atmospheric pressure of ~14.5psi.

My question is valid for the build...

I know he's answered with his plans to use filters when riding it outside of town or whatever, but with as much work as he's done, I wouldn't mind helping him figure out how to use his intake to pressurize both fuel tank and carb bowls to make fuel delivery an easier task with better results.

Ok, now you have my wheels turning, just how much can you pressurize the tank before you start over powering the carbs ability to shut off the fuel from the tank, on a auto carb I would put that # around 5-6 lbs. will a standard cb carb hold that much pressure and once the float shuts will that PSI equate into forcing gas in to the venturi?

I guess it would as long as the float is open?

Brothers I do not mind you discussing carburetor theory here at all I am just personally trying to stay out of it which is why I posted the joke about it looking cool at 40 mph.

Sometimes theory is just that...textbook theory and real world results are not usually the same, we have been building exotic machines and racing equipment that by other peoples opinions should not work, but do and win races for a long time.

Those of you that have been following this thread for awhile know that I like to stay away from the over technical discussions as there are just too many opinions for everyone to agree and no matter how long we try to discuss it in the end some ones feelings are going to be hurt, not by me I would hope, but hurt feelings are definately not what I want for this thread. I feel that this is what happened with Brother Paulages when we tried to start discussing cams and he has not posted here since, again that is not what I want for this thread as I enjoy having all of you here.

In all seriousness the carburetor setup should not be a problem at all but I am going to stay away from why as I can see by your posts that you are influenced by theory and I am not here to debate or call anyone, myself included, right or wrong. I know what I think works and you know what you think works and if our opinions and experiences differ that is ok and we can all still be Brothers!

Equalize pressure between tank, bowls and intake.

The ZX's had a fuel pump, which negated the need to pressurize that tank.

Something to consider BroJo - looking at the photos of the bike from behind with the burly forks, wide motor and the wide rear tire, I can't help thinking that it would really benefit from having the tank widened a bit. I think that it would balance out the looks nicely.

Thank you Brothers, there is no need to remove anything and you are all more than welcome to discuss anything that you like on this thread as far as I am concerned. I really enjoy having all of you here and the discussion did pertain to opinions of my carburetor setup and I do not think anyone was being rude, I have no problems at all with constructive criticism or anyone trying to help, I personally am going to stay away from the highly technical parts but you all feel free to discuss it if you like and I will enjoy reading all of your opinions.

Been following this sine you started. I think it looks awesome. Your carbs will work fine, its like siphoning a tank with a hose there's still positive pressure at the tank end from the volume of liquid but still a vacuum through the hose

I added a underbrace to the rear frame section.

When I built the frame I lowered the bike so that the oil pan is roughly five inches off of the ground so I had to cut a couple of inches out of the kickstand, it is still rough and needs cleaned up more but here is what it looks like.

With that work being done here is how she looks.
