CB550 '74 head on '76 cylinders?

What it says on the tin.  Is this possible?  Does a '74 head fit on '76 jugs?

you could use a CB650 head with a home made big bore kit. Stud spacing is all the same. Your on your own for gaskets though

okay, deal on '74 head fell through.  Do cb500 heads fit the 550s?

YEP all 500/550 heads are the same but the bolted on inlet manifolds are different 77/78 K model (so swop em)
