Is it worth it?
« on: November 27, 2010, 05:52:48 PM »
Have a chance to buy a cb350 basket case for $400. Two frames (one powdercoated white), one engine (was running- weren't they always), two good wheels with new tires. "Everything is there". Tank, covers and fenders powdercoated white. Miles unknown. There is a lot there, for sure, and could easily part out for $400. Would like to put it together but:
1) Are these thing painfully slow?
2) White? Could one ever sell it?
Thanks for your input

I wouldn't say "painfully" slow, unless you pull out in front of someone, but you won't have to worry about the acceleration straining your neck or shoulders..and white can be cool if it's done right. They do have their own appeal and it beats walkin.. might be worth if it if there's a title..

If there is a legitimate title, go for it.  What year?  My second bike was a 1969 CB350, a very nice bike and quite attractive, the red and white combo was striking,  Larry

Thank you both for the input. Glad not everybody is trying to keep up with the "babes".
No title but the VIN is clear. Piece of cake here in NM.
It's a 69.

If the title is  easy, go for it. Are you in New Mexico?  White can be cool, look at Hush's copsickle in BOTY thread, Larry

Yea, hush's white bike is pretty cool, even if it is a cop cycle. Not to mention that white can be redone in what ever color you want. If its powder coated it may be a bit harder still it can be done easy enough. Also, if you live in the city a 350 can be just the bike to have. If you live in the country they are still fun, you just have to watch for open fields for strong cross breezes.

They vibrate,,A LOT!!.. but they are fun and easy to work on..

 200 miles on a CB 350 feels like 700 on a CB 750... :o
