I've always found with automotive engines that for a really streetable engine a standard carburetor and a slightly hotter cam was a good combination with more displacement. I've seen lots of articles on SOHC4 dealing with 29mm and larger smoothbores and high-end cams. Is there any experience with riders who just wanted more torque and real world useable horsepower as opposed to a semi-race engine for the street, like an 836cc kit with an Andrews cam with stock carbs?
As a street rider, all I really want is more torque and midrange.
Just askin'...
