Sounds yummy! ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

LOVE this recipe!!!
I save various glass bottles through the year just for this purpose.
Always make it the weekend before Xmas.
I've been treating family members to it for years during the holidays. ;D

Terry, I may try this with a bit of Makers Mark or Buffalo Trace. What do you think?

Bloody oath Bobby, give it a bash mate, and let me know the result! I'm off the booze until Christmas Eve (weight loss kick) but I suppose it won't hurt to buy the ingredients, in anticipation? ;D

One of my favorite winter time drinks is to mix Baileys, Spiced Rum and a splash of milk or cream over rocks. Then go sledding.

Ha ha, sounds more like a local anaesthetic than a drink mate, but if you come off your sled, I suppose you'd need it! ;D

I thought 1/2 & 1/2 was 50% cream, 50% milk? (hence the name 1/2 & 1/2) How does that equate to 18% cream? ??? ???

Nevermind.....I found my answer on Wikipedia, it's referring to the butterfat content. ;)

Dairy
In the United States, half and half (known as "half cream" in the United Kingdom) almost always refers to a very light cream typically used in coffee. The name refers to the liquid's content of half milk and half cream. Its butterfat content is about 12.5%,[see footnote]

Footnote: Legally, it may be between 10.5% and 18% butterfat

I thought this definition was interesting as well...

half & half: A service that is offered, and performed, by a prostitute. One half is oral sex, the other half is vaginal sex. :o :o :o

Ah the internet...such an amazing slew of information. ;D ;D

I did whip up two batches for New Years Eve. One I used the Jamesons and it turned out very good. I put a bit more almond extract in it than i should have, so I put in more Chocolate. I did sample it 24 hrs later and it was good. I sampled it and some Baileys and it was damn close.

Then I whipped up another batch with Jack Daniels, and it worked out very well. The Women at the party drank all the Jamesons, and the guys polished off the Jack version. I used Jack since it is cheap and I had a bunch of it around.

Sounds good Bobby, so JD is much cheaper in the US than Jameson's? Over here (where they're both imported) they're about the same price, but I got a bottle of Chivas, a bottle of Jack, a bottle of Blanton's and a bottle of "Nelson County" for Christmas, so I suppose I've got a few options...........

Oh, and I only gave up drinking to lose weight, I lost 32 pounds in 30 days, but I fell off the wagon on Christmas Eve, and I haven't looked back (or down at the bathroom scales) since!  ;D

Yeah I hear ya. I had to take a "vacation" for 28 years. Now I can drink or not as I please. Jack is domestic and Jamesons cost me $18 for a pint.

If you make this recipe I found that you really need to wait a day before you taste it. Fresh mixed, the Almond was overpowering, the next day it settled in with the other flavors. The Bourbon batch was very fine as Bourbon can have a nut like flavor, but will need tweaking for taste since Bourbon has a more distinct flavor than Irish whiskey and as we know Terry, each Bourbon has a different character.
