It is a "Poorman's" Ducati Imola racer. Just like slapping Harley stickers on a Yamaha.

It is a cool bike, no question. The parts on it alone make it a "No title-no problem" bike IMO.

Seller, it is not Steve Mcqueens lost ride, so the lottery ticket that King promised you just isn't real, he made it up.

Just E-bay the stupid thing, and walk away from this with some cash.


Military shipping your "stuff" from your overseas assignments is only determined by quantity, and if it will pass customs. The military will ship a motorcycle without batting an eye, trust me. The whole Italy thing makes perfect sense, and that is a cool bike.

The tank's construction (steel/fiberglass/aluminum) will be a HUGE factor in the value. Also the buyer needs to see how well the bike was cobbled together.

Dude your novice at best, proven by your statements. I would be pissed if I was selling a bike and you told me it was worth 18-20K and then a cpl days later you say 800.00 is a fair price.

As you may recall, I was asking about the value, not telling anyone what it was worth.  If it raced Imola in the 70's and had documented history, my speculation was actually low and would not have helped the owner.  As it is, we have a bunch of hot air and nothing solid regarding value.  That is what eBAy does best, it establishes value of an unknown item because we all know, something is worth what someone is willing to pay for it.  No more, no less. Can I get an Amen? ( ps "sausage head", very funny  )

There is no one else, there are too many loop holes here. Unfortunately for King it got out of control. But the Jig is up, stop digging the hole deeper.

I didn't have a clue on the real value, that is why I asked here.  I figured somebody could say it was ________ bike and worth +/- $$ and I would simply relay that info to the seller.  It was all so simple in those early days...FEPO (for entertainment purposes only)
