I saw this guy yesterday (12/2) riding his Ural (I think) with a sidecar while the snow flurried around us in Columbus Ohio.  I was nice and toasty warm in my car, but I'm sure he was having way more fun!

I rode to work yesterday morning when it was about 35 degrees.  My boss said "isn't it really cold!?"

I ride to work every morning 27* on Thursday.  Anybody can ride when the weather is nice only idiots ride when it is cold like me.  I once road at 3 below while in college 15 miles damn stupid.

I am good easily to about 20 Fahr.

 And by that I mean , no long johns, no goggles, no faceshield.. and no Winter jacket yet..

 They use de-icer on the main roads here, the side roads were hell this morning !.5 inches if fresh snow.... had trouble in a car with all-seasons.. Had to pick my Mom up from the airport.. after that I rode to town..

 Winter.. for real riders....

I enjoy riding bikes, but when it gets around freezing or below that takes all the fun out of it. You cold weather guys are more hard core than me. But back several ago and before I got my CB750 I rode my 97 HD Wide Glide in a charity ride. Temp. that day was in the high teens. I had all my cold weather gear on but still had trouble keeping my hands warm. Half way into the ride my hands had gotten so cold I was having trouble working the clutch. I almost left the HD on the side of the road and called a cab. Like Rocky said, sometimes charity hurts. I've never rode in weather that cold again and don't plan on it

Of course I don't have to worry about that much anymore, being back in Texas.  I will kind of miss the looks on people's faces in Denver when I pulled up next to them at a red light on my bike when it was 15 degrees.   30 degrees in this part of Texas is roughly equal to 10 degrees in Denver.

You need warm hands, most riding gloves wont work below freezing, snowmobile mitts are pretty good.

 Its just over 4 miles if I go home, usually I m getting cold by then, but then I get inside, Longer rides I would need better gear.

Asheville Toy Run today;  It got up into the 40's though, so is that cheating?  When I got off, snow fell out of my crotchial area. 
Belive it or not- that's a lovely young thing under all that lump in the tub.  (I kinda wish she was single and 20 years older...)

i had the 1500 wing at the dealer for bank angle sensor replacement, under warrenty. i picked it up and rode today, it was 32f and dry but getting windy. i took it to my niece's house where it will hibernate for winter. if my bikes were kept at my house i would do more winter riding but my garage is tooo small for all the lawn and snow equiptment i have a bike just will not fit in there

Looks like an "intersting" road there.  I believe I spotted the BSA right off.

AND- that's a BMW/Steib in my picture- not a URAL.

Anyhoo- in regards to Fours as SC tugs, I believe it's not done quite as much because twins (and even singles) develope more useful low-end torque.

 Ernie I was referring to all the H-Ds at the toyrun, and lack of Hondas..

 I knew that was a Steib, just noticed my vintage Steib poster is not on the wall..wtf?.. still have a poster of a Horex with a Steib, a Zundapp, and a Victoria fore & aft opposed twin..

 I hope to be running my sidecar platform...in about a week..

Just waking up this morning from another cool ride....  yesterday was Tampa Fl to home on my Uly...  Heated grips actually toasted the heal of my right hand....   also first time with a Heated vest and it was Genuinely incredible....

Couple of weeks ago I did a ride from El Paso Tx. to Enterprise Al.... Fun junk....  Wrote a ride report about it...

Someday I'm going to do a ride report about that Mexico ride on the 4 550's.... that was Great stuff....  ( oh and same time of the year so several of those days were not only cold but WET )

Hey Gordon, Who has pictures of the Trail Ridge Road ride we did in Rocky Mountain National Park? That was potentially ugly! Altitude AND snow   Another lovely Colorado high country day at 11,000+ feet
