Nope, but I have a heated vest that came in under the amp max on my K8 and it works great.

I get these things that look like slim scouring pads.  They get activated by squeesing them.  One each in a glove, and I'm good to go for several hours.  They stay warm for 6 or 7 hours.

After I got back from the Toy Run, my room mate put one on his neck and took a nap.

You are correct.  I've had them on my K1 for about five years.  Charges fine, even with the Dyna-S, H4 headlight and extra tail lights in the hard bags.  Although I've never had cause to use them for more than about an hour at a time.

Thanks Gordon thats really good to know. What brand of grips do you use? Ive read they vary in their effectiveness so always appreciate real-user feedback.

Thanks very much.

Andy

Ha! New low! 25 degrees riding into work today. Hit a little patch of ice on an on ramp, I think. Bike definitely got wiggly.  :o

One benefit of riding on snow (and ice) is that it teaches you to be smooth with your inputs. There is no hard braking or acceleration in those conditions. Everything has to be a smooth transition. Any abrupt inputs and you're on your butt.

Sorry, can't remember the brand.  I just bought the least expensive ones I could find and then pulled the heating elements out of them and glued them to the handlebar on the left and the throttle grip on the right.  I think the main difference between prices is due to brand name and available options like a dial to control the temperature.  Mine just have a simple "hi-off-low" switch, and I've only ever used the "low" setting, because it's plenty hot enough.
